Berlin Postkolonial is committed to a critical examination of Berlin’s colonial history in the form of city tours, campaigns, publications, exhibitions, political counselling and press work. Important fields of work of the association are the decolonisation of public space,

for example by renaming colonial-racist street names, honouring the victims and opponents of the enslavement trade and colonialism as well as the restitution of ancestral remains. Berlin Postkolonial is committed to symbolic and material reparations.
